MediData Post Back Service

Automate Medicaid eligibility updates in billing systems

MediData Post Back is a sophisticated data service that eliminates manual data input of Medicaid eligibility information into hospital patient accounting systems. Post Back applies user-defined business rules to update Medicaid information and identify the circumstances that automatically create a Medicaid bill within a patient accounting system.

Post Back eliminates staff time required for manual input of data that leads to Medicaid billing. It also creates consistent data quality, resulting in fewer errors and time-consuming corrections. A 100% audit trail documents all actions for all data entered and each Medicaid bill generated, providing a permanent electronic record for every case processed.

Post Back uses MediData’s Virtual Assistant ™technology that reads data from a Graphic User Interface (GUI) screen on any application program, navigates through that program, and populates that data onto the screens of the same program or another application program.

Post Back’s technology uses existing patient accounting screens in exactly the same way a data entry person uses them, except that the process is automated. The service doesn’t skip steps or make data entry errors that humans might, thus it improves the quality of information in the system As a result, Post Back eliminates manual errors that can cause Medicaid payments to be delayed or denied.

MediData Post Back has been designed to interface with a major patient accounting systems. The data source for Post Back updating is the daily report from the Medicaid, which verifies patient enrollment in state Medicaid programs.
